"Elmo"

"Elmo", a beautifully bred bobtail male from the famous Van Sapho's Hoeve Boxer Kennel in Belgium joined us here at Boxberry in February 2006. Elmo's photo's above are at 16 months (Main photo)& 4 years.

Elmo has sired 12 litters thus far producing 74 puppies of which 39 have been bobtails, equalling 53% Bobtails - which is just over the expected percentage of 50% bobtails expected in matings of Bobtail x Pure lines. We are extremely pleased with the results he is consistently producing puppies which have lovely typical Boxer heads with correct muzzle proportions, beautiful eyes, expressions, lip placement and mouths - which can be seen in the photo's below of his progeny. We are very happy with what Elmo has produced for us and look forward to some more Elmo babies in the future.

Elmo is the sire of the first Bobtail in the world to be awarded a Best In Group (Group 1) - Australian Champion Boxberry Sweet Surrender CCD "Zoë", Zoë is also the first Bobtail to have an obedience title as well.

Elmo is available for stud duties to selected bitches, the terms for Elmo's use will be discussed prior to any matings. We have quality frozen semen available, and can arrange Chilled semen upon request. Please contact us for further information. Elmo carries the red gene, he comes from fully health tested lines and has been heart tested clear, and is Negative for the mutant gene for ARVC.
